Donate Your Christmas Tree to African Safari Wildlife Park

PORT CLINTON, Ohio, December 28, 2020 – African Safari Wildlife Park is now accepting Christmas tree donations to be used in their daily animal enrichment program.

Local cities and townships are now collecting used Christmas trees to be recycled. However, you have another option – bring your tree to African Safari Wildlife Park! If you want to donate your tree, please pull your vehicle up to the Park’s Administration Office building (located to the right of the center parking lot) between 10am – 4pm Monday through SundayThe Park will be accepting tree donations from now until January 10th, 2021.

If you decide to donate your tree, please make sure that you remove ALL decorations, hooks, and tinsel. Trees cannot be donated if they have been painted in any way or sprayed with fake snow. If you have any questions, please call 1-800-521-2660.

“Our animals love to have these trees incorporated into their enrichment,” said Kelsey Keller, Director of African Safari Wildlife Park. “We appreciate and will gladly accept as many trees as the community would like to donate. We are always finding different, creative ways to use these trees around the Park for the animals.”

The Midwest’s only Drive-Thru Safari, African Safari Wildlife Park, is located at 267 S. Lightner Rd. in Port Clinton, Ohio. Tentative opening for 2021 is February 26, 2021. Spring Season hours are daily, rain or shine, from 10AM – 5PM, last car admitted at 4PM.
