PORT CLINTON, Ohio, April 30, 2021 – Danbury Township Fire Chief Keith Kahler, his Fire Team, Chief of Police Mike Meisler, and Det. Sgt. Mark Meisler arrived at African Safari Wildlife Park on Wednesday night for a special tour.

The Danbury Township Fire and Police representatives, along with African Safari management toured the grounds while meeting Staff, seeing the collection of over 400 animals, and discussing the Park’s emergency procedures.

“We are so grateful to have a close relationship with our Township’s Fire Chief and Law Enforcement – this kind of relationship is essential to us as a local business and community staple attraction,” said the Park’s Director, Kelsey Keller. “Conducting these in-depth tours every year with the Fire Department and Police helps them to more accurately respond to an emergency situation here at the Park, should one occur. There is always something new each Season, whether that be in the Drive-Thru or the Walk-Thru Safari so it is important that they know our animals, the key Staff, and the layout of the entire Park. We know that we are in great hands.”

The Park’s Summer Season is quickly approaching, with the first Extended Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays in May) beginning on May 8th. The Walk-Thru Safari, Educational Programs like the HogWILD Experience, Camel Rides, and the Zoo-It-All Animal Feeding Experiences will be available to Park Guests on Extended Weekend dates and then daily beginning May 28, 2021.

The Midwest’s Original Drive-Thru Safari Park, African Safari Wildlife Park, is located at 267 S. Lightner Rd. in Port Clinton, Ohio. It is scheduled to open for the 2021 Season on March 26, 2021. The Park will then be open daily, Rain or Shine, from 10AM to 5PM with the last car admitted at 4PM for the Spring Season. Summer Season begins May 28, 2021.
