PORT CLINTON, Ohio, October 22, 2021. African Safari Wildlife Park celebrated local first responders and their families with an afternoon of food and WILD family fun on Thursday, October 14th.

Catawba Island Fire Department, the Danbury Township Fire and Police Departments, and the Ottawa County Fire and Police Departments were invited to bring their families out to African Safari Wildlife Park to celebrate the contributions they make to the community. They enjoyed a complimentary day of driving through the Safari, riding Camels, feeding Budgies in the aviary, educational shows, and food and beverages.

“We are so grateful to the First Responders in our community for their hard work,” said African Safari Wildlife Park Director, Kelsey Keller. “We wanted to show them how much we have truly appreciated their dedication and support. The least we could do is give them and their families a day of laughter and smiles.”

This is the second year that African Safari has hosted First Responders and their families at the Park.

The Ohio Safari Park, African Safari Wildlife Park, is located at 267 S. Lightner Rd. in Port Clinton, Ohio. The Park is open daily, Rain or Shine, 10AM – 5PM with the last car admitted at 4PM, through December 5, 2021.
