PORT CLINTON, Ohio, June 16, 2025 —Each June 21, wildlife lovers celebrate the tallest animal in the world on the longest day of the year. African Safari Wildlife Park is observing World Giraffe Day with a weekend of activities celebrating one of the Park’s most beloved animals.
On Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, Park guests will have the opportunity to show their love for Giraffe by posing with a special World Giraffe Day photo frame in front of the Giraffe habitat in the Walk-Thru Safari.
On the same dates, the Park will donate 25 percent of the revenue from Giraffe feedings in the Walk-Thru Safari to Giraffe Conservation Foundation. This nonprofit organization works across Africa to save Giraffe through strategy development, satellite tracking, genetic analysis and education.
“Giraffe have been a part of our Park since the very beginning,” said vice president Elizabeth Hunt. “We’ll never turn down the chance to share our love of these gentle giants with our guests, and we look forward to celebrating World Giraffe Day with them!
