Education

In today's world, the message of conservation is more important than ever. Protecting and preserving all animals is the goal of Zoos, Wildlife Parks, and Aquariums around the globe. Education is the key to this goal. We hope that by helping teach people to understand and appreciate animals and their unique adaptations, within their environments and place in the world, that we will further these global conservation efforts.

Zoos are a place that provide the community with information in a fun and family oriented setting. Here at African Safari Wildlife Park, educational information is brought to the public by signs, booklets, naturalistic exhibit displays, interactions with the keepers, and with a fun and exciting Educational Animal Show. The animal keepers are seen throughout the day performing their various jobs, and are often seen talking about a particular animal and answering visitors questions.

By providing all of this education, we hope that every customer will become more informed on animal conservation and the impact education has on the future. We encourage all visitors to enjoy our education opportunities and to think about the future.

Education is a big part of our tour groups that are pre-booked. Our focus started on only school groups, but now has expanded to larger groups of all sorts. Each group is provided with educational information as they are escorted through the Drive-Thru and the Walk-Thru.
All children love animals and usually want to learn more about them and that is why we offer a special rate for Organized School Groups by reservation.

Rate: 10 or more students, parents and/or teachers - $ 5.00 each
(bus driver is free, group must be pre-booked)
